Sustainability
Tourism should benefit Nepal, not just pass through it. Every trip we design is guided by a commitment to environmental responsibility, cultural preservation, and economic fairness.
Local Hiring
100% of our guides, drivers, cooks, and coordinators are Nepali nationals. We prioritize hiring from the communities we operate in, ensuring tourism revenue stays where it matters most — with local families.
Community Homestays
We partner with community-run homestay programs across Nepal, channeling tourism income directly to rural families. Guests experience authentic Nepali hospitality while supporting grassroots economic development.
Waste-Free Trekking
Every trek operates under our strict 'carry in, carry out' policy. Our teams pack reusable water purification systems, biodegradable products, and carry all waste back. We conduct annual trail cleanup expeditions on major routes.
Carbon Offsets
We calculate the carbon footprint of every domestic flight and vehicle transfer in our packages. The offset amount is invested into Nepal-based reforestation projects and clean cookstove programs in rural communities.
Fair Wages
Every porter, guide, cook, and driver working with GoingToNepal earns above-market wages, receives proper equipment, and has access to insurance. We believe fair pay is the foundation of responsible tourism.
Our Commitment
We are working toward becoming a certified B Corp and carbon neutral by 2027. Every package you book contributes to trail maintenance, community development, and environmental preservation across Nepal.
